
1. Uniforms - Wearing of Pins:
Where do all those pins go? What order? See
photo for Class A, they would
be the same
for Class B (remember with Class B you do not wear a
tie). Don't worry if you don't have a whistle chain or
citation pins, Crossed Sabers always at the top. Wear
your highest VIP Presidential pin, Bronze, Silver or
Gold!! Remember, if possible call your mentor 1st
about questions, rather than Margaret. If you really
need to and can't reach your mentor or your mentor does
not know the answer, then please call or email
questions.
2. Flags: Order of display and
precedence:
Ceremonies & Parades:
Per Department of Defense Directive
1005.8 the order of
precedence for flags at events and ceremonies is as follows [The
Merchant Marine, Vietnam Veterans, and POW/MIA flags can be
displayed following the military flags (order of those three
together depends on event)]:

Marine

Navy

Air
Force
-
Coast Guard (except at time of War....goes in front of Air
Force)

POW/MIA

Other remaining flags
Flagpole: Army Regulation 840-10 2-2.c The POW/MIA flag will
be flown beneath the flag of the United States on Armed Forces
Day, the third Saturday in May; Memorial Day, the last Monday in
May; Flag Day, June 14; Independence Day, July 4; National
POW/MIA Day; Veterans Day, November 11 and on occasions when the
installation is hosting POW/MIA activities. The Retiree flag may
be flown on Veterans Day or occasions when the installation is
sponsoring activities for retirees such as open house or retiree
day. Not more than one flag will be displayed below the flag of
the
United States and, if displayed, will
be approximately 6 inches below the flag of the United States."
